Job Description:
- Attend monthly/adhoc meeting with client pertaining to project for accounts/sites assigned by the upline managers;
- Attend site meeting and progress claim meetings, conduct site briefing and recording of Meeting Minutes;
- Supervise and handle all onsite construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations;
- Liaise with client/ stakeholders and monitor contractors’ performance against the project plan and work specifications;
- Effectively liaise with all consultants, contractors/sub-constractors, and relevant authorities;
- Implement and enforce project plans, schedules, and budgets to achieve successful project completion;
- Conduct regular site inspection, toolbox meeting, safety audits, identify potential hazards, and implement preventative measures to mitigate risks;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and inspection records;
- Handle project management and contract administration, prepare progress claim(s) and liaise with the Client’s representative on claims and variation costs;
- Call quotations, compare prices and prepare bill of quantities for tender pricing;
- Review and verify the subcontractor’s/supplier’s claims and prepare payment certificates;
- Develop project brief, proposal, design intent, pre-qualification of contractor, tender document prior to calling of tender.
- Raise Purchase Requisition / Billing Request in internal system and follow up with Procurement / Finance to ensure timely payment to Contractors and/or Vendors; and
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the upline manager.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Construction Management/Civil Engineering/M&E Engineering or equivalent academic qualifications.
- Minimum 3 years of related working experience in Construction or Project Management.
- Relevant WSQ Certificates (i.e. Work-At-Height, Supervise Construction Work, etc.) is preferred.
- Good knowledge in operational and technical aspects.
- A team player and able to multi-task.
- Meticulous to details.
- Have a positive attitude, good self-discipline and able to work independently and in a team.
- Ability to clearly and effectively express ideas, thoughts, and concepts verbally and in written form.
- Understand and have good knowledge in local regulations and authorities’ submission requirement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project etc.) & Autocade
- Strong time management & work well under pressure.
- Must be responsible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, well-organized and able to take initiative to resolve problems and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and superior customer service skills to work effectively with both internal and external clients
- Prefer with certificate Construction Safety Course for Project Managers - CSCPM (not a must)
