The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities to drive company growth and expansion. This role involves strategic planning, market research, relationship building, and negotiation to secure new clients, partnerships, and revenue streams. You will lead the team responsible for the development and growth of Defence Collective Singapore’s (DCS) business streams and its affiliated entities such as Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC) in alignment with the organisation’s objectives and targets. You will lead and develop effective products bundling, tactical promotions, pricing strategies and business partnerships to promote DCS and enhance the value proposition of its products and programmes. Main area of scope includes membership acquisition and retention, food and beverage management and retail management. This position will report directly to the Head of Sales & Business Development.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and responsible for setting and delivering revenue and profitability targets; and visitorship numbers, mainly in areas such as membership, walk-in and retail.
- Ongoing development and growth of the overall business through identified segments and channels.
- To establish budget, pricing strategies and operations execution, with stakeholders to develop solutions and smooth operations for overall business.
- Collaborate with internal business units to uncover and develop actionable and measurable tactical plans to create market awareness and increase market share.
- Implement financial strategies by anticipating requirements, trends and variances.
- Review and prepare reports to reflect on the P&L and visitorship performance along with recommendations.

Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor degree in any discipline, with min 8 years of working experience, and 3 years in a managerial role preferred.
- Possess a strategic mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for driving business success.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
- Extremely hands on environment, needs to be proactive as well as pragmatic in decision making.
- Can-do attitude, strategic thinker, with a passion for new products and solutions.
- Strong numerical & analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good to be able to interpret financial statements but not a must.
- Experience in membership strategy and management will be an advantage.
