We’re seeking a Civil Engineer with similar values, who can put his or her expertise to work on New Chemical Project Construction site in Jurong Island. This professional will be responsible for serving as the representative of CSB design, and CSB Work planning and supervising at site. He or she will be expected to ensure compliance with all procedures, regulations, and codes, and present progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis. With each project, this individual is counted on to drive the innovation we’re known for.
Objectives of this Role
· Manage, control and monitor of daily construction works. Instruction to the CSB subcontractor and progress control is also included in the daily work
· Supervise all works including CSB and M&E works
· Progress tracking and reviewing of the monthly report submitted by the subcontractor
· Close communication with the subcontractor, and the superior; the site Civil Engineer/Construction Manager/Site Manager
· Attend regular meetings with subcontractors, and the other supervisors of mechanical/piping/electrical/instrumentation work
· Ensure that the works are conducted in accordance with the required quality and safety
· Daily/Weekly/Monthly Report of the work for the client and HQ in Japan
· To coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project management team at Construction site in Jurong Island, HQ in Japan and Japanese client.
· Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions.
Skills and Qualifications
· Min Degree in Civil Engineering
· Possess working experience of the Petrochemical projects in Jurong Island
· Minimum 5+ years’ relevant working experience
· Good communication skill and leadership to supervise worker and subcontractor
· Excellent skill in BIM and 2D CAD software
· Familiar with the local authority requirement
· Knowledge of jobsite safety practices required
Preferred Qualifications
· Fluent or solid working knowledge of Japanese (The client is Japanese firm)
