Responsibilities:-
Cost Estimation and Budgeting
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on architectural drawings, specifications, and other relevant information.
- Develop budgets for construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other costs.
Tendering and Procurement
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents.
- Evaluate and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Negotiate prices and contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
Cost Control
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase.
- Identify and analyze cost variances and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Prepare regular cost reports for project stakeholders.
Contract Administration
- Administer construction contracts, including reviewing contract terms and conditions.
- Ensure that contractual obligations are met by all parties involved.
- Handle contractual claims and disputes.
Value Engineering
- Identify opportunities to optimize project costs without sacrificing quality.
- Recommend value engineering options to improve project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Risk Management
- Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project costs.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize cost overruns and delays.
Quantity Measurement
- Take-off quantities from architectural and engineering drawings.
- Prepare bills of quantities (BOQ) and schedules of rates.
Cost Reporting
- Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for project stakeholders.
- Present cost information to project teams and management.
Final Accounts
- Prepare and negotiate final accounts at the completion of construction projects.
- Ensure that all contractual obligations related to payment are fulfilled.
Change Management
- Assess and evaluate variations and change orders.
- Determine the impact of changes on project costs and schedules.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Participate in project meetings and provide cost-related input.
Compliance and Regulation
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to cost management and construction.
Other Admin Duties
- Assist with ISO documentation and renewal matters
- Some other administrative duties assigned
Requirements:-
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, MEchanical and Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Preferably with 2 years of working experience as QS
- Able to work in a team as well as independently
- Strong attention to detail in quantity measurement, cost analysis, and contract administration.
- Ability to identify potential risks and discrepancies in project documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address issues related to cost, schedule, and project scope.

Hours - Mon to Fri, 9am-6pm
