About the role
Assist the GIA Director (APAC) in the delivery of internal audit projects through:
- leading or conducting performance, financial, and compliance audit projects.
- providing consulting services to the organization’s management and staff.
- providing key input to development of the annual audit plan.
- providing training and coaching to internal audit staff.
- maintaining all organizational and professional ethical standards.
What you’ll be doing
- Identifies and evaluates the organization’s risk areas and provides input to the development of the annual audit plan.
- Manages audit projects end-to-end from planning, developing work programs through drafting and presenting audit reports.
- Performs audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing, and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures.
- Conducts interviews, reviews document, develops and administers surveys, composes summary memos, and prepares working papers.
- Identifies, develops, and documents audit issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed.
- Updates internal documentation on system platforms used by the department.
- Assists in communicating the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management and the board of directors.
- Develops and maintains productive client and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.
- Pursues professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained with co-workers.
- Represents internal audit on organizational project teams, at management meetings.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor in Accounting /Finance or related field
- CIA, CPA, CA certifications (a big plus)
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in auditing.
- Big 4 experience is strongly preferred.
- International exposure (APAC).
- Travel Requirements: Regular (between 20 - 50 %)
