Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with marketing team to drive new ideas and strategies on new product development, and assist in the continuous improvement existing products.
2. Material sourcing, research and reporting of market trends, work on process improvements to achieve better efficiency and cost.
3. Evaluate acceptability of raw materials from new suppliers.
4. Participate in product quality improvement to support Quality Assurance department regarding product complaints and cost improvements.
5. Assist sales and marketing team with technical enquiries. Provide technical support to product development team.
6. Work on new/existing product labelling, to review & update the product labelling to meet customer & regulatory regulations. (Local/Export Market)
7. Prepare samples for sensory and evaluation.
8. Document manufacturing protocols and standards (SOP).
9. Maintain updated records of work activities: objectives of test, formulas, costing calculation, processing condition, required equipment and equipment setup.
10. Perform maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, and maintain good hygiene & cleanliness in the R&D laboratory.
11. Undertake any other duties as assigned by superiors from time to time.
Requirements:
1. Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Culinary Arts or Food Science & Technology.
2. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
3. Team player with initiative, drive & good interpersonal skills.
4. Possess positive working attitude, work independently and creative.
