- Meet Customer Technical Service requirements of Marine
- Coordinate and perform field trials, monitor results and summarize results into field trial reports
- Technical advisor for product use with regards to engine and marine fuel application
- Literature work, technical notes, bulletins & also technical article for publication
- Project work
- Continuous support to sales & customer visits
- Follow regional legislation as well as IMO activities.
- Coordination of marine fuel analysis & evaluation work
- Generate knowledge about all marine fuel grades including HFO/bunker as well as MDO/MGO
- Understanding of HFO Residual fuel oil properties and performance
Requirements
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent with 5 years relevant experience,
Marine Engr COC Class 1 or 2 will be added advantage - Excellent numeracy and communication skills, oral, written and presentational.
Confident presenter comfortable with delivering often complex data - A good understanding of current and future relevant legislation
- Good problem solving skills. Role involves use of significant initiative, product
understanding and retrieval and collation of information from several locations - Excellent communication skills, oral, written and presentational
Networking skills in technical and business arenas
