Job Scope
- Overseeing a team of estimators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
- Collaborate closely with project managers to understand project requirements and provide accurate cost estimates to support project planning.
- Developing and refining estimation methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
- Leading the estimation process for projects of varying sizes and complexities, including analyzing project requirements, conducting material take-offs, and determining labor and equipment costs.
- Analyzing cost data, historical trends, and market conditions to develop accurate estimates for materials, labor, overhead, and other project expenses.
- Identifying and assessing potential risks and uncertainties associated with project estimates, developing strategies to mitigate risks and uncertainties.
- Coordinating the preparation and submission of bids and proposals, collaborating with sales, project management, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, negotiate terms, and address concerns.
- Monitoring project budgets and costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to estimation and contract management.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in estimation and project management through training, networking, and professional development activities.
Requirement
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- 5 – 8 years related experience in construction estimation or related field
