About the Role
This is a consultant role for our client’s International Mobility Centre (IMC) in Singapore. This role encompasses overseeing all facets of the assignment management program which includes managing relationships with assignees, vendors, global processes, technology, and ensuring operational service delivery. You will be reporting to the APAC IMC Senior Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive service delivery for all categories of assignees within the region, offering personalized and attentive assistance.
- Proactively collaborating with assignees and partners to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Serving as a subject matter expert for HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and other key stakeholders on global mobility matters in the designated region.
- Advising HRBPs on IMC policies, their application, and compliance issues across borders.
- Making practical and efficient decisions regarding policy application, balancing business requirements and global governance, and escalating when necessary.
- Managing policy exceptions within the APAC exception management framework.
- Ensuring overall client and user satisfaction for the assignee population, measuring vendor performance, and conducting assignee satisfaction surveys.
- Ensuring that services are provided efficiently and transparently, delivering a seamless experience for individuals within the region.
- Driving innovation and accelerating the digital transformation of IMC and talent mobility-related areas.
- Serving as a technical expert on tax, equity, immigration, social security, and payroll compliance for countries in the designated region, including HR and employment law issues, benefits, and statutory entitlements.
- Facilitating collaboration among internal stakeholders such as HR Shared Services, Finance, Procurement, Rewards, and Legal within the region.
- Preparing and authorizing compensation statements, assignment documentation, and policy exceptions (within approval limits) for all levels of assignees.
- Generating and approving cost estimates for all new assignments, ensuring adherence to the correct approval process.
- Identifying and discussing opportunities for policy and process enhancements.
- Organizing mobility training workshops for relevant stakeholders.
- Participating in various global mobility projects and coordinating activities at a regional and global level.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have previous experience dealing with international assignments, global mobility or assignment management issues. Applicants with additional technical knowledge in the areas of employment law, tax, social security, payroll compliance and vendor management would be desirable.
- At least 7 years of relevant working experience in international assignment management.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related discipline preferred
- Possess excellent client service and relationship management skills to engage top management and work with stakeholders from different cultural background
- Possess good organization, planning and analytical skills, and the ability to manage several initiatives simultaneously
