Barback

Job Purpose

The Barback is responsible for providing support to Bartenders

Principal Accountabilities

1. Keep Bartenders supplied with beverage, ice and mixers as well as clean glassware
2. Assist with bottle service and bussing
3. Ensure that the inventory of the drinks at the bar is well stocked
4. Set up or restock product displays
5. Efficiently and consistently restock Bartender serving stations with beverage, ice, fruits, straws and napkins a necessary for Bartender’s use
6. Follows standards for merchandising, stock rotation and sorting of all products, maintaining professional presentation at all times
7. Consistently collect, wash and sanitize and restock all glass and barware for repeated Bartender use
8. Manage closing duties, including cleaning entire bar and back area
9. Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products
10. Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

1. At least high school diploma
2. Minimum 1 year of experience in similar position in a high-volume, fine dining concept
3. Fluent in English
4. Excellent communications skills
5. Outstanding customer service skills
6. Positive and high energy level
7. Highly cooperative team spirit
8. Ability to work in a high stress, faced-paced environment

Physical Requirements of the job

The job of the Barback may require:

1. Long hours, covering different shifts and working during public holidays
2. Walk and stand for entire shift, up to 10 hours
