Job Function: As an RF Bench Development Engineer, you will take ownership of critical tasks related to RF test benches and test software. Your role involves supporting the execution of highly integrated RF transceiver characterization for 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies. Additionally, you’ll drive the development, validation, and robustness enhancement of the RF bench test platform, leveraging AI and machine learning tools to expedite the device optimization cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

RF Test Development:

  • Utilize RF measurement techniques to design and develop RF test benches.
  • Create efficient and reliable test software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and repeatable testing.

Test Bench Design and Debugging:

  • Design and debug test benches, hardware (HW), and software (SW) programs.
  • Integrate bench HW/SW for RF device characterization, including conducted and over-the-air (OTA) test solutions.

RF Characterization and Optimization:

  • Support characterization and optimization of various transceiver blocks (transmitter, receiver, synthesizer, etc.).
  • Ensure test accuracy and repeatability.

Efficiency Improvement:

  • Drive short-term and long-term test efficiency improvement through innovation.
  • Develop and integrate AI, machine learning tools to expedite the device optimization cycle.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, RF/Microwave Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Experience with design verification testing of RF chips or components.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment (e.g., power supplies, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meters, vector network analyzer).
  • Familiarity with RF test methodology development using tools like LabVIEW/TestStand or programming languages (C#, C++, Python, MATLAB).
  • Highly motivated, adaptable team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and proactively overcome technical challenges to meet project schedules.
