We are recruiting for a Portfolio Manager role for a fund heavily focused on early-stage investments in the information technology sector. The role undertakes constructing a portfolio of investments in the technology sector and blockchain market which set or follow trends in their respective markets and generate returns for the fund’s investors.
The Portfolio Manager will take the leading role in fund raising, conduct financial and statistical research, analyze and improve the fund’s strategy.
Given the nature of the fund’s strategy, the role requires a strong technological and analytical background, an existing network of HNWI and institutions, and experience in leading diverse teams. A familiarity with investment structuring and derivative instruments is a plus. It is essential for the candidate to possess the ability to capture capital for the fund.
Role-Specific Accountabilities
- Portfolio management skills are a must.
- Conduct the day-to-day monitoring of the portfolio and execute strategy.
- Evaluate key exposures and risk factors of investments.
- Lead the discussion in the team’s weekly fund updates meetings.
- Work on research projects related to individual investments as well as macro top-down portfolio strategy and construction.
- Communicate with existing and new investors on a regular basis and promote and participate in fund raising events.
Qualifications
- Established personal network within the global entrepreneurial, start-up, technological, innovation communities is advantageous. Existing relationships with potential investors.
- Preference for candidates with project management and investment experience and degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering and Sciences.
- Strong research, analytical and statistical skills.
- Experience in software development.
- Experience of public speaking is preferable.
- Experience of work in different countries, in different cultures is a plus.
- Relationship management experience.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Professionalism and integrity.
- Willingness to travel.
- Proven track record in portfolio/fund management and fund raising.
