Energy Aspects is seeking a Senior Gas & LNG Analyst to join our growing research team based in our Singapore office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced analyst with a passion for energy market research, excellent critical thinking, and technical skills, and who is able to derive and defend price views based on their supply-demand analysis.
The company has been rapidly developing its name in the gas sector over recent years and the new hire will be expected to continue building that reputation for thoughtful analysis and clear market views.
The role will play a central position in formulating the market views of our Global LNG service. Prior experience of analysing the Japanese or Korean power markets is essential. You will work with our data team to enhance our power dispatch modelling and you will also need to be able to run the associated gas balances. The role requires strong written skills to communicate our views through reports. The ability to effectively present to clients and the media is also important.

Duties:
Analysing Northeast Asian gas and power markets. Writing scheduled and ad hoc reports on power pricing, capacity additions, policy and the implications for thermal dispatch. Presenting our views to clients through presentations, conferences, and email responses. Presenting our views to news organisations
Requirements:
Experience analysing the Japanese and/or Korean power market. Experience running and developing econometric models. Excellent technical skills using excel. The ability to work effectively in a team. A high level of written English. Strong presenting and communication skills.
Desirable Skills
Experience in gas and power markets. Finance or economics background. Fluency in other languages.
