Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description:
- Manage and perform engineering/design execution, planning, and interface and ensure that activities are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Prepare project execution and quality plans, project plan of works, initial project safety review, initial project environmental review, and project control system.
- Coordinate with project managers, discipline engineers, designers, drafters, and field staff, and ensure consistency in the execution of project activities.
- Organize and conduct project meetings, and technical, and progress reviews.
- Initiate and complete projects close-out and archiving.
- Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; and conferring with management.
- Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; and reviewing bids from contractors.
- Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
- Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
- Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; and sequencing project elements.
- Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; and resolving problems.
- Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
- Controls project costs by approving expenditures; and administering contractor contracts.
- Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; and recommending actions.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains project database by writing computer programs; and entering and backing up data.
- Ad-hoc duties assigned
Requirements
- Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineer Board
- At least 3 - 5 year(s) of relevant experiences in construction industry
- Knowledge of Autocad would be an advantage
- Good communicative skills, able to interact with people of all levels and teamwork
