E-Commerce Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE


The ideal candidate is a proactive and strategic thinker who has a passion for optimizing campaigns and mentoring a team. This person will be working closely with the Marketing Director and various teams (marketing, buyer, IT, sales) to accelerate Gain City’s eCommerce business, with a strategic and sustainable business model and spanning across various ecommerce changes – marketplace (e.g. Lazada, Shopee), own branded ecommerce stores (e.g. gaincity.com), as well as emerging ecommerce channels such as social commerce (e.g. Tiktok Live).


In addition to the above, you’ll also be responsible for:


Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Accountable for e-commerce business KPIs including, but not limited to, revenue, traffic, conversion, ROAS, margin, inventory, customer feedback, etc.
  • The candidate should have omnichannel and O2O experience, with a proven record of running omnichannel direct to consumer business.
  • Responsible for key account leadership for selected ecommerce retailers – mainly Lazada, Shopee and Tiktok. Responsibilities include annual joint business planning. Campaign calendar planning and negotiations for key support on key moments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all contractual agreements between Gain City, third party e-commerce partners, solution vendors (e.g. Dot Digital), and other players in the e-commerce ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with other team leaders in the digital & marketing team to drive the ecom business acceleration, including work with the digital marketing team on customer experience and conversion enhancement on brand.com and cost-effective media strategy to drive quality traffic to all ecom channels. And working with the marketing team to deconflict with the ATL marketing campaigns and create deals and mechanics that address the target audience online.
  • Build reporting and dashboards which will include tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs), traffic sources, and funnel behaviors.
  • Work with the Marketing Director to forecast revenue, establish sustainable budgets and targets.
  • While driving eCommerce sales, empower teams with skills and expertise needed, enrichening the ecommerce knowledge needed to sustain the business e.g via playbook development, training and best practice sharing.
  • Lead the development and execution of ecom strategy.
  • Spearhead the redesign and enhancement of the Gain City mobile application to provide customers with a seamless and engaging shopping experience.
  • Lead & provide guidance to ecom customer service team locally and overseas.
  • Discuss and report regularly to Marketing Director on key digital & ecommerce development
  • Attend key local digital & ecom meetings e.g. with key retailers and digital marketing partners.
  • Stay updated on industry trends: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in e-commerce and digital marketing. Apply knowledge and insights to innovate and enhance Gain City's online presence and competitive positioning in the market.

REQUIREMENTS


  • Adaptability in a SME / startup environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, E-commerce, or related field.
  • Highly motivated individual with over 8 years of experience, of which 5 years of eCommerce specific experience in building and driving eCommerce businesses, at least 3 years in manager role.
  • Deep knowledge of retail and digital marketing, basic knowledge of SEO will be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Understanding of Navision, Magento, and Warehouse Management Systems, and other systems in the eCommerce technology ecosystem, as well as other UX/UI and EDM marketing tools like Figma and Dot Digital.
  • Excellent project, time and people management skills.
  • Keen learner and a team player with a great sense of responsibility, proactive with a positive attitude.
  • Strong collaboration skills, vendor and stakeholder management.
  • Experience with marketing analytics tools (ie Google Analytics) and strong proven track record of launching and optimizing shops with merchandising experience on all ecom channels – brand.com, marketplaces and social commerce.
  • Creative thinker with an eye for detail.
  • Able to work under a tight timeline in a fast-paced environment.
