GENERAL MANAGER – The post will be for the in charge of sales and operations for building up and growing the business of SHINPO NAVIGATION PTE LTD, SINGAPORE.
Strategic planning, control, and execution of vessel repair projects at Shipyards, workshop, port, anchorage, and sailing.
- Perform service, repair, maintenance and troubleshooting activities for navigation and communication equipment on vessels
- Perform Radio surveys and inspections of ship radio communication and radio navigational installations
- Independently test, repair, install and inspect equipment such as MF HF, VHF, Voyage Data Recorder (VDR),Gyro-compass, Autopilot, marine radar, radiotelephone etc.
- Training and building a team of engineers. Training the young local graduates for required skill set to work as Navcom engineers.
- Attend customers enquiries and prepare proposals for projects
- Work with suppliers and contractors for jobs that have to be outsourced.
- Able to plan and budget the project costing.
- Operate and manage the full spectrum of the workshop operation and function
- Experience in handling manpower/workers and allocating work.
- Closely work with Shipyards and other Marine Repair jobs.
- Manage team to finish the project within the stipulated time frame
