Job Description
Childhood Builder After School Centre attends to children whose age range from 7 - 12 years old (Primary 1 - 6) after they are dismissed from their respective primary schools.
The after school facilitator is required to work part-time from 1.00 - 7.00 p.m. (subject to 30 hours per week) or full-time from 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. (subject to 40 hours per week) Monday to Friday.
During primary school closure in March, June, September, November and December as well as national events such as Youth Day, Primary School Leaving Examination Oral and Listening Comprehension, the after school facilitator will be required to work full-time from 7.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. or 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
The after school facilitator is required to supervise homework assigned by primary school teachers and assign age-appropriate assessments and indoor activities/ play after school work.
The after school facilitator will be also be required to conduct outdoor activities as well as plan excursions and indoor activities for the after school children during school holidays.
The safety, health and hygiene of the after school children must be maintained at all times.
Job Requirements
Candidates must/ should attain
· at least a GCE 'O' level certification with minimum 5 'O' level credits including English
Candidates must/ should
· be able to facilitate children from 7 to 12 years old in four subjects, which follow closely to the syllabus by Ministry of Education (MOE)
· be familiar with the revised syllabus, which emphasises conceptual understanding, skill proficiencies and thinking skills; integral to the development of mathematical problem solving ability, reasoning, applications, and use of technology
· be familiar with the Science Curriculum Framework, which inculcates the spirit of scientific inquiry
· be able to plan indoor/ outdoor activities/ excursions during school term holiday and involve working with the children
