As a pivotal member of the management team, the Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in revenue generation by strategizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating sales and marketing activities for outdoor and indoor spaces. This key position involves overseeing the development and implementation of short- and long-term warehousing revenue plans, configuration, manpower, asset investment, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to achieve output and quality goals efficiently and safely. The primary focus of the role is on managing client relationships to ensure outstanding operational performance and customer satisfaction, aligning with our succession planning strategy.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage three warehouses covering outdoor and indoor space, supervising a team of warehouse personnel.
- Ensure compliance with legal, customs, and industry certifications/standards for local, bonded, and licensed warehousing, material handling, shipping requirements, and safety aspects.
- Drive warehouse operations through two core teams focusing on material handling, customer service, and records keeping, ensuring coordination and progress according to plans.
- Interface with customer leaders and internal departments to plan workflow, react to changes, drive improvement programs, and resolve issues.
- Establish and monitor security procedures and protocols to safeguard warehouse operations and contents.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through physical counts, reconciliation with data storage systems, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Preserve the physical condition of the warehouse and open yard through design layouts, equipment inspection, and planning for repair/replacement.
- Achieve financial objectives by promptly submitting billing instructions, verifying claims and costs, preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Recruit, select, orient, and train warehouse staff while maintaining job results through coaching, counseling, discipline, monitoring, and appraising.
- Stay updated on professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, reviewing publications, establishing networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results/projects as assigned.
Professional Background:
- Proven "business-to-business" sales and operational experience in the logistics or supply chain management industry.
- Essential experience with Project Cargo and OOG shipments.
- Demonstrated success in developing sales plans and analyzing profitability, coupled with analytic skills to review financial and operational data.
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to secure business wins.
- Capability to develop robust business relationships within all levels of organizations, including senior-level executives.
- Success in leading, motivating, and developing individuals and high-performance teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant applications.
