CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and set sales forecast / profit projection for the business units to meet financial objectives
- Discuss sales strategies and stores’ sales achievements with the retail team personnel
- Responsible to track sales performance of all business units, carry out necessary follow-up checks on stores’ weekly performance, and ensure monthly sales targets are met
- Prepares monthly, and other relevant sales reports, with analytical details
- Prepares annual sales targets for the stores based on the sales information provided
- Overall-In-Charge of all stores in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur under 3 different retail concept, including manage the opening of new retail stores
- Responsible for visual merchandising display, ensure replenishment all stores are fulfilled, and the retail stores do not stray from the brand’s guidelines
- Innovate, recommend, set and implement Customer Service Standards to improve operational processes, coach & motivate retail staff to achieve targets and standards
- Review, improve and ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all business units for a better working environment and effective team
- Yearly review of operations and perform benchmarking exercise against similar in the retail industry
- Work with the retail team and merchandising personnel to project inventory levels and orders
- Ensure that stock losses are kept to a minimum level set by the management, inventory count is done accurately, and the set procedure is followed
- Co-ordinate and work closely with other HOD’s (merchandising, marketing, logistics, creative) to resolve operations matters including customers’ feedbacks and complaints and increase sales through effective marketing programs
- Co-ordination with contractor on store renovation, maintenance, and re-instatement
- Build good rapport and maintain good working relationships with all external landlords, suppliers, and other parties
- Responsible for all daily operations of the business units, including manpower planning & control, good house-keeping standards, and other operational issues
- Conduct monthly store’s meetings to ensure new procedures, practices and updates are communicated and discussed during such meetings
- Work closely with HR Department in developing a systematic training plan for all retail employees that includes sales, customer service, product training (basic & updates), etc.
- Ensure all staff are given sufficient training for career progression (e.g. management skills; numerical training skills, etc.) and adequately trained in sales processes, there are follow-up after training by the relevant stores in-charge for their staff, and all training documentation file in orderly manner
- Work closely with HR Department for manpower planning, recruitment, selection, & retention of staff to meet operational requirements, and staff’s compensation and benefits including commission programme
- Plan and structure current work scopes
- Daily review of the sales targets and development, and month-to-date sales against targets on a bi-weekly basis
- Identify inventory or operational issues at the corporate level that may have impacted sales, discuss and develop solutions
- Manage the retail managers’ career development; yearly review/appraisal
- Work closely with marketing & merchandising departments for launches and repositioning of the brands
- Work closely with retail managers & marketing department to develop promotions and events
- Ensure that retail supervisor work closely with the mall management to maximize the benefit of any mall’s events and sales
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Min. Diploma / Degree in Retail Operations Management / Business Administration or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant industry (retail / distribution) and managing multiple brands and stores
- Reading and verbal fluency in both Mandarin and English is a prerequisite
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Highly customer service centric with ability to well interact with customers
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, analytical, report-writing skills, strong leadership to manage team and communicate effectively with all levels of people
- Strong problem solving skills, result oriented, adaptable, self-driven, team player, resourceful & meticulous, with a keen-eye for details and hands-on person
- Able to excel under pressure, multi-tasks, handle tight deadline and well-organized
- Candidate with more experienced will be qualified for a Senior Manager Role.
