Roles & Responsibilities:
· Abel to operate machines such as conventional (manual) lathes, milling, drilling machines and grinders to machine metal parts.
· Able to set work piece and tools on machine independently
· Operate and control the machines to form the metal parts according to drawing / requirement with accurate measurements.
· Knowledge to read drawing, dimensions and tolerances.
· Knowledge in using of measuring instruments like Vernier, Micrometer and gauges with measuring techniques.
· Review samples, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output.
· Perform regular inspection of machines and ensure machines are good & safe working condition. If requires, carryout minor repair or arrange for professional repair and maintenance.
· Maintaining machineries, tools and equipment regularly.
· Ensure effective production operations and optimise procedures.
· Ensure that machining items are as per requirement with superior quality.
· Cooperating and communicating with the supervisor / manager, other participants and collaborating with teammates.
· Willing to follow workshop, site / yard safety regulations.
· Follow the instructions / other ad-hoc duties assigned by supervisor / management staff.
Requirements:
· Singaporean or PR only.
· 2+ years’ machining experience in mechanical service / repair industry.
· NTC2 / Nitec / Higher Nitec in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent are added advantage.
· Excellent time management, organizational and decision making skills.
· Able to communicate in simple English with colleagues.
· Physically fit and in good health.
· Able to work independently with minimum supervision, initiative and able to do multitask.
· Training on work-related knowledge will be provided.
· This job may require some overtime work, weekends/public holidays when required, OT will be given.
