Job Description:
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for goods shipping and receiving activities from documentation preparation; goods packing and unpacking, inspection on quantity and quality in general, and for analysing freight analytics to improve cost saving. He/She is also responsible for advising stakeholders on import and export rules and regulations for complex freight.
Analytical and systematic, he/she is required to plan and review complex freight and persuasive to manage stakeholders and customers. He/She is also expected to coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop freight solutions.

Job Requirements:
· Advise on the most cost efficient freight shipments alternatives based on prevalent tariffs, insurance and quotas;
· Communicate with export and import custom activities in relevant territories and countries to ensure efficient custom clearance;
· Develop contingency plans for cargo handling and delivery operations;
· Develop measures using quality management knowledge to enhance shipping quality standards;
· Develop methods to improve cargo documentation process based on strict adherence to industry standards or sector requirements;
· Develop operational plans for complex freight shipments;
· Develop review measures to enhance compliance to internal SOPs, government regulatory requirements and legislations;
· Evaluate carrier performance to ensure on-time shipments;
· Evaluate the costs and benefits of the current business processes within warehouse operations;
· Plan effective incident/ crisis management initiatives.
