Role Purpose:
To provide accounting services to a client that is a registered charity and ensure accounting activities are in compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
Key Accountabilities:
Accounting Support
- Support the preparation of monthly journals, month end close schedules and bank reconciliation in a timely manner.
- Assist with payments processing, GIRO applications, and updating Payments List.
- Issue receipts for donations received timely.
- Liaise with different teams regarding payment and receipt matters.
- Record payments and receipts into accounting system accurately and preparation of Accounts Receivable weekly report to management.
- Update and monitor Fixed Deposits schedules, including cash forecast, and prepare instructions for the bank.
- Assist with opening and closing of bank accounts and update of bank mandates.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Assist with other accounting related duties and ad hoc admin assignments.
- Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures.
Qualification, Competencies/ Other Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Accountancy, with experience in full set of accounts.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, and Adobe PDF.
- Responsible and take the initiative to follow up on tasks.
- Good verbal and written communication in English language.
- Meticulous, positive attitude and willing to learn.
