The Opportunity
Our Client, is establishing a new sales team. We are looking for motivated Business Development Managers / Executives to join our team and play a key role in driving our business growth.
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for proactively identifying and acquiring new customers for our contract logistics, warehousing & distribution, and freight services. You will work closely with clients to understand their specific needs and develop customized solutions that meet their requirements.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and acquire new potential customers for contract logistics, warehousing & distribution, or freight services.
- Establish a deep understanding of customer requirements, including storage conditions, racking, pick & pack services, and cycle patterns.
- Develop a healthy pipeline of customers to sustain continuous revenue growth.
- Secure new customers with a focus on reasonable profit contribution.
- Formulate strategies and tactical sales plans to achieve business growth.
- Meet with potential customers regularly to build strong relationships and establish a favorable rapport.
- Work closely with internal departments, such as operations and customer service, to ensure optimal customer satisfaction at all times.
- Support other business development activities and initiatives as directed.
- Present professional business proposals to customers.
- Provide regular, relevant market information to superiors to maintain market alignment.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in the 3PL / Freight forwarding / Shipping / Transportation industries.
- A degree or diploma in any field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the local logistics & freight forwarding market.
- A keen business acumen and ability to understand customer requirements.
- The ability to work independently and under pressure to achieve sales targets.
- Proven ability to manage customer programs effectively.
- Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle.
