SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research and Strategy Development:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and understand industry trends.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.

Sales and Revenue Generation:

  • Directly engage with potential clients to pitch solutions, demonstrating how these solutions meet their needs.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closure, including proposal development, presentations, and negotiations.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Understand client needs and requirements and collaborate with the product team to ensure customer satisfaction.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted sales strategies and materials.
  • Coordinate with the product development team to relay customer feedback and ensure the product aligns with market demands.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare sales reports and analyze market trends to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance against goals, adjusting strategies as needed to meet targets.

Professional Development and Training:

  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, competitive landscape, and product knowledge.
  • Attend workshops, trade shows, and seminars to keep up-to-date with industry trends.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, particularly in the EdTech, software or technology sector.
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies, negotiation techniques, and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools.
  • Experience in a specific industry or vertical could be advantageous.
  • A network of potential leads or contacts within the industry.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
