- Diploma in any maritime discipline, with at least 1 year of experience working onboard ships (no sailing experience required)
- Good communication and computer skills
- Able to work under deadlines and can accommodate overtime
Our client is a well-established ship management company that works with leading international shipping businesses in ship chartering, shipbuilding/repair supervision, marine service/offshore and marine products trading.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for ships (company owned and chartered) arriving into the port.
- Liaising and coordinating with respective government bodies for vessels arriving into the port and processes all necessary formalities and declarations in a timely manner to ensure smooth entry and departure of ships.
- Ensuring full compliance to statutory formalities and factual declarations.
- Identifying bottlenecks to propose improvements to workflows and assists with its subsequent implementation.
- Act as agent in handling wet and dry cargo, bulk cargo and projects.
- Handling crew changes, and coordinating on tasks assigned by the company, independently.
- Coordinating with respective agencies for repair works, berthing, tug, harbour pilot and launches.
- Updating vessel records and invoices using the company’s ERP system.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in any maritime discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience working onboard ships.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic computer skills (for data entry and producing written reports).
- Able to accommodate overtime and working under deadlines.
Other Information:
- Location: Central
- Working hours: 5-day work week
- Salary: Up to S$3,000 (Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)
- Allowance: Transport (S$400) and Meal (S$300)
