Job Description
The incumbent will lead the Centre for Health Intervention and Policy Evaluation Research (HIPER)'s marketing and communication activities, coordinate/support events organised by HIPER (in terms of event planning, actual day logistic matters, and post-event follow ups), and other ad-hoc administrative tasks.
Working under the direction of the Director, the primary role of the incumbent is to ensure smooth running of the Centre (Centre for Health Intervention and Policy Evaluation Research)'s events, working on marketing and communicatons related activites for HIPER and providing supporting in agreement review and other ad-hoc administrative tasks
1. Events related activities
· Coordinate and liaise with vendors for all Centre's events and related logistical/finance matters
. Coordinate and manage the set-up and production of the event on site
· Liaise with invited speakers on teaching materials, programme outline and logistical arrangements
· Manage enquires from events via email and calls
2. Communications-related activities
- Create communication materials (including but not limited to eDMs, posters and promotion video clips) for courses/modules held by HIPER
- Create quarterly and annual reports on past, ongoing, and upcoming events at HIPER
- Responsible for the management of HIPER’s website and social media platforms (Linkedin)
o Update courses/modules on Main page and Events page
o Archive past courses/modules
o Update news
o Update published journal articles by HIPER researchers on Publications page
o Create bi-weekly content to post on HIPER’s Linkedin
Qualifications
- Recognised diploma or degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- Ability to write well, and adapt the narrative and writing style for a range of audiences (e.g. academic, public). Sample work to be submitted along with application.
- Basic design skills
- Organised, timely, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
- Strong self-initiative to stay updated on the team’s activities and publications, and to generate awareness for HIPER’s events and research outputs
- Ability to run events
- Flexible, willing to multi-task and experiment with other avenues of communication (e.g. podcasts)
- Experience with the following: Canva, Wordpress, Mailchimp (or any other email marketing platform) , photoshop (or similar photo editing software) and video editing software is a plus, but not required
- Experience in an academic or research setting preferred, but not required
