Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. Responsibilities

As the Group continues to enhance capabilities in Group Finance COO, there is a need for a strong and motivated AVP / VP to work in the Finance COO team to support delivery of strategic initiatives. The focus of the role is on:

  • Formulating strategy for key cross-team initiatives within Group Finance
  • Engaging a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including overseas Locations, building processes and analytics to support these initiatives and
  • Delivering on Group Finance business management processes, such as performance measurement / scorecard-setting
  • Playing the role of Programme Office for significant complex initiatives
  • Key AccountabilitiesFrame and articulate methodology, strategy, or policy options for Group Finance, and conduct analysis, research, and synthesis to do so, including performing gap analysis and operating model design for key initiatives
    Articulates and frames strategic and policy options in a well-researched, comprehensive yet concise way for senior management review
    Prepares presentations, policy documents and meeting materials in a way that is concise, comprehensive and clear
    Partner with other teams to plan, scope, and project manage initiatives - including data sourcing and management, problem-solving with stakeholders and analytical modeling in a spreadsheet or other database tool
    Collaborate with Finance teams, and teams across DBS, to scope and execute key projects end-to-end, particularly projects with interdependent workstreams, external dependencies, technological dependencies or other complex requirements
    Generate hypotheses, source supporting data, build analytical models, problem-solve data issues, industrialize analytics and automate reporting
    Deliver on Group Finance business management processes
    Deliver scorecard-setting, budgeting, headcount review processes, partnering with functional teams as needed

    Group Finance COO – fulfill Chief-of-Staff functions including:Secretariat to Finance Management Team (FMT). Organize regular senior management forums in Group Finance, clearinghouse for items requiring senior management attention, track and resolve issues
    Finance-wide communications. Prepare communications materials for Group CFO, including for Group & Location Finance town halls, communications to staff, etc.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of multi-disciplinary experience in Strategy Consulting / Management Consulting / Strategy & Planning roles
  • Ability to influence at a senior level without direct authority
  • Ability to problem-solve issues and negotiate outcomes between stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
