Assistant / Technical Manager (MEICA) Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, result-oriented technical manager to join our dynamic team at a major infrastructure construction project in Singapore. In this position, you will play a key role in the overall success of our organization by planning, managing, and monitoring of the engineering functions. You will be responsible for overseeing various activities for M&E equipment installation/T&C processes, timely completion and making necessary adjustments in order to ensure successful handover of our construction project.
Assistant / Technical Manager (MEICA) Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical manager role for detailed design (Process Plant MEICA and Building Services) and related install/T&C tasks of the project
- Answer questions and resolve issues brought forward by the internal team members, client, consulting engineers and subcontractors
- Expedite actions in acquiring technical information, quantifying commercial proposals, review submission of data/method statement for installation of MEICA/BS materials/equipment, storage and arrange for site installation works
- Prepare MEICA/BS installation sequence, testing methodology and procedures for support of construction team
- Oversee Testing & Commissioning sequences/activities and monitor progressive T&C schedules are met
- Communicate and collaborate with other managers, vendors/suppliers, and contractors
Assistant / Technical Manager (MEICA) Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, Environmental or Process Control & Automation) with 5 to 7 years of engineering experience, ideally as a senior engineer / managerial role in process, energy, water or chemical plant construction or large-scale infrastructure design and construction projects locally or internationally
- Knowledge in 3D workspace environment and familiar with BIM workflow in design and submissions
- Multiple years of experience in Public Works (PUB/LTA/NEA) EPC/O&M projects will be plus
- Analytical and capable of evaluating and solving various complex problems
- Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in presentation to a broader audience
- Having ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment with safety in mind
