JOB DESCRIPTION
- To maintain office and ship’s computer systems and communications systems.
- To manage, maintain and improve existing IT Solutions.
- To support ship’s by visiting onboard or remotely.
- To assist to resolve IT issues encountered by Vessels or Office Staff:
- Install software, hardware, and applications for both office & vessel.
- Administration of IT Infrastructure (AMC Renewal, User creation, Inventory management etc)
- Personally manage Active Directory and Office 365.
- Maintain secure operation of computer systems, servers, and network connections.
- Implemented and maintained standards and procedures to protect the security and integrity of information systems and data.
- Maintain appropriate access control utilizing least privilege principles.
- Patch Management of servers and enterprise software utilizing change management processes.
- Review firewall logs for security violations.
- Review server log for performance, user, and security audits.
- Identify security issues and risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- ITE / Diploma or equivalent degree in Information Technology/Science/Engineering Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar capacity.
- Possess basic knowledge of either Maritime Communications, Maritime IT or Marine Electronics would be preferred.
- Good computer skills and understanding in IT networking infrastructure, software, and server applications.
- Excellent presentation and communications skills.
- Ability to brainstorm solutions.
- Resourceful, driven, proactive and independent.
- Team player, able to work with team members and ability to communicate with people of diversified cultures.
- Willingness to learn.
- Willing to travel to different locations and onboard vessels in Singapore & overseas as and when required.
- Able to work on weekends & after office hours when required.
- Understanding of IT networking infrastructure software and server applications.
