To provide shore-based support to vessels under his/her charge in terms of technical matters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Overall in charge of vessel operational expenses covering repairs, maintenance and other survey/certification requirements
• Overall in charge in ensuring the vessel under his/her care to be fully fit and seaworthy to trade as required
• Overall in charge in ensuring the vessel complies with all class, statutory requirements and regulations. This includes all vessel trading certificates
• Overall in charge in ensuring the vessel complies with charterer/client requirements
• Prepare yearly budget requirements for each vessel under his/her care, submit for approvals and revisions
• Monitors and manages vessel Planned Maintenance follow-up accordingly in liaison with Chief Engineers and Chief Officers
• Analyze and provide feedback on technical matters
• Conduct onboard technical review/vessel inspections at least once every 6 months, provide a report to management and follow up on the corrective actions
• Contribute and participate in all QHSE matters as most appropriate that is in line with the Company's QHSE Policy
JOB SPECIFICATION:
• At least 3 years experience in the marine-related industry with sufficient exposure in technical superintendent task
• Diplomat / Degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent preferably
• Preferably with experience in the Offshore Support Vessel Industry
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Must be willing to travel and visit ships around the Southeast East Asia (SEA) Region
• The ability to converse in Bahasa-Malay would be an advantage Job Type: Full-time
