Job Description
- Strong understanding of construction industry practices and standards to perform planning and scheduling
- Liaise with client, engineering, procurement and construction teams for purpose of developing a fully integrated baseline schedule
- Coordinate and obtain input from project team members, contractors and suppliers to support the development of various programs
- Prepare baseline schedule which includes resource and cost loadings
- Develop and maintain project schedules on complex projects in conjunction with the project team
- Update, track and report the progress against the planned, and checking of discrepancy
- Progress forecast, preparation of working programs, rolling programs and updating of resources and histograms
- Attend crucial project events to ensure compliance
- Prepares reports on operations and activities, recommending improvements and modifications
- Participates in budget preparation and administration, monitors and controls expenditures
Requirements
- Possess a Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent
- At least 8 years’ of experience in large scale construction planning and scheduling
- Capable of tracking progress daily on site, work closely with frontline staff and reports and working programmes preparation
- Able to work independently and produce programmes, narrative and histograms
- Ability to lead and manage projects effectively and meet deadlines
- Able to work under pressure to ensure good site progress
- Proven record of being able to handle project independently
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills and ability to liaise with Statutory Authorities
