Logistics manager

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Logistics Strategy:Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with business objectives.
    Optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  2. Inventory Management:Oversee inventory control and manage stock levels to ensure products are available for delivery.
    Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure proper storage and handling of goods.
  3. Transportation and Distribution:Manage transportation operations, including scheduling, route planning, and fleet maintenance.
    Coordinate the distribution of goods to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers.
  4. Supplier and Vendor Relationships:Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.
    Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best terms for the organization.
  5. Compliance and Safety:Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to logistics and transportation.
    Promote a safe working environment and enforce safety policies and procedures.
  6. Process Improvement:Continuously assess and improve logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
    Implement new technologies and practices to streamline operations.
  7. Budget and Cost Management:Develop and manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness in all operations.
    Monitor and control expenses to achieve financial targets.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in logistics management or a similar role.
  3. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  5. Proficiency in logistics software and technology.
  6. Knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  7. Strong organizational and time management skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Work schedule: 5.5 days per week, typically Monday to Friday with a half-day on Saturday.
  • Work environment: Office and warehouse
