Description of the role:
● Promote and sell the organization's products with main focus on spare parts and services.
● This position is the front line of the respective customer contacts assigned to him/ her.
● The position also is responsible for any other tasks assigned by management in the best interest of the
company.
Key tasks:
● Pursue sales leads, visiting existing and new customers to meet sales target levels.
● Negotiate prices, delivery times and other related details within limits of authority and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets
● Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
● Identify, research, and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business.
● Refer sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization so that they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.
● Develop and implement sales tactics and TTO action plans with line manager’s approval
● Meet or exceed sales budgets
● Plan and execute regularly scheduled customer visits in agreement with management
● Produce and file appropriately visit reports from all customer meetings.
● Collect all relevant market and customer information and feedback and share information internally in order to improve effectiveness of market strategies
● Build excellent customer relationship management and develop thorough knowledge of all relevant
stakeholders at our customer’s organizations, commercial and technical, who impact their business activities
and decisions in regards to MacGregor
● Promote MacGregor service contracts
● Actively follow-up all quotations.
● Actively investigate and report back on customers product Installed Base (IB)
● Stay informed regarding Order/Delivery follow-up of contracts and keep management appraised of higher level support requirements when customer relationships are in jeopardy
● Actively pursue collection of account receivables with support of local controller
● Accept, execute and deliver other projects as assigned by management for the benefit of the company
Education
● Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marine or business
Experience
● 3-5 years in sales experience in Marine, Offshore or other relevant field
Competencies
● Fluent English – written and oral
● Google Workspace
● Work Independently
