About the role
Reporting to the client's supply chain manager, this role will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to strategise, manage and coordinate the growth of their logistics function.
What you will be doing
- Assess and advise supply chain managers on all existing and potential opportunities with regards to freight forwarding in the region
- Act as central POC for all matters logistics and freight forwarding, in all related regions:
- Utilise Bollore's global network to address all existing ad hoc needs for freight forwarding/ logistical activites that arise across client's APAC project footprint
- Verify client's supplier's logistical solutions and advise/promote alternatives where plausible
- Work with client's projects to expedite supplier shipments, in line with contractual delivery dates
- Through co-ordination with Bollore's BI team, guarantee the flow of logistics intelligence into client platforms for monthly report on global logistics landscape, verify and challenge the data where necessary
- Assist supply chain managers with necessary information required to develop the logistics category strategy
- Promote and drive logistics sustainability initiatives in collaboration with client's supply chain and sustainability teams
- Familiarise oneself with client's existing logistics and supply chain risk platforms, contributing with data and know-how where necessary
- Prepare (multi-regional) monthly structured billing for any and all logistical services provided by Bollore to client, to be approved by a supply chain manager (and regional contracts teams if necessary)
- Any other logsitics-related tasks deemed relevative by supply chain managers
The successful candidate
- Demonstrated work experience in APAC logistics landscape of at least 5 years
- Strong knowledge in customs compliance
- Project implementation experience
- Strong ability in data analytics
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive problem solving and continuous improvement mindset
