We have been mandated exclusively by a long standing boutique Private Investment client to search for an Associate Director to join their growth focused firm. The focus is on Growth Equity and mature businesses. The successful candidate must have experience of a full deal cycle within the USD10-100mil range (sole and co-investment). The firm has a couple of specialties but typically sector agnostic with a focus on SE Asia. Investors in the fund are mainly Family Offices and HNW individuals
Role
- Reporting direct to the CEO as one of the senior team members
- Provide and oversee financial analysis and guide the investment analyst team
- Experience of investing across various capital structures depending on the deal involved – minority, majority and convertible notes etc
- Focus on growth equity and exit
- In depth investment analysis, due diligence and on going monitoring of the portfolio
- Compile investment papers/presentations on prospective investments – valuations and investment performance
Requirements
- Preferred Economics, Math or Finance degrees with a professional qualification preferred (excellent academics highly desired)
- Proficiency in MS Office/Excel – ncluding modelling
- Very strong report writing and communication skills
- Act as a leader in the business an be able to work independently – travel within SE Asia is required
- Prior experience (5-10 years preferably) in Corporate Finance, Strategy, Consulting or Private investing is a must have
- Full deal cycle hands on experience
- Strong understanding of financial markets/trends and an interest in private markets is essential
