Who we are looking for
Reporting to the Co-founder & Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Group CFO will be his key colleague across businesses and functions to build upon the strategic vision and partner in maximizing value creation.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and leadership team to formulate and refine the company's strategy while facilitating strategic alignment across various departments, ensuring cohesive efforts towards common goals
- Assume overall responsibility for overseeing, and managing the following functions and their respective Group Heads: Accounting, and Financial Control, Corporate Development & Capital Markets and Legal
- Lead Group-wide Financial Planning, Analysis, Strategic Planning, Treasury and Banking Operations, Cost Optimization and Data-Informed Decision Making/Business Analytics
- Lead Fundraising and Capital Allocation decisions along with managing Investor Relations, Reporting and Stakeholder Management
- Lead the organization to develop strategic priorities, culture and improve governance
- Provide executive support to the Board of Directors with financial and non-financial information
Skills and attributes:
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in financial services including Principal or Executive Director level experience as an Investment Banker (either TMT or FIG groups), Private Equity / M&A professional or Management Consultant
- Preference will be given to candidates who have also worked in an operating C-level role (COO/CFO/CSO) for a minimum of 2 years
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders across all levels
- Proven track record of leadership and team management
- Technical accounting knowledge requirements to have oversight of the company’s books in support of the Finance team but possesses the ability to apply a commercial lens and pragmatic approach with respect to strategic business benefits realization
