Position Overview:
The IT System Engineer oversees the day-to-day administration and management of Windows-based infrastructure and systems, providing support to end-users and ensuring smooth operations. They lead projects for system upgrades and new setups, perform routine maintenance to uphold system integrity and security, and collaborate with stakeholders to strategize and execute IT initiatives aligning with organizational objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
· Provide day-to-day IT support to end-users, including system administration, and network management.
· Implement and oversee Windows-based infrastructure and associated technologies.
· Administer IT Infrastructure and System Management, including installation, configuration, and management of Windows servers and service such as IIS, SQL Server, Exchange 2019
· Manage or participate in new setup or upgrade of system/network infrastructure projects.
· Perform and manage routine preventive maintenance and operational activities.
· Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of Windows servers and systems.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to strategize and execute IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
· Engaging with business stakeholders across various departments to identify and address their IT needs.
Job Requirements:
· Proficiency in Windows server OS, Unix/Linux OS & virtualization platforms Hyper-V environment.
· Minimum Diploma in IT, or equivalent qualification.
· At least 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience required .
· Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
· Good Working knowledge with VPN, firewall appliances and routers/switches
· Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing timelines and expectations.
· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, or equivalent are advantageous.
· Good knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server is beneficial.
