THIS IS A 2-YEARS RENEWABLE / CONVERTIBLE CONTRACT ROLE.
Duties and Responsibilities
To manage day to day Front of House (FOH) operational readiness of the Museum and closing duties.
To develop, implement and manage inventories of the Museum merchandising endeavours by working closely with sales & development and vendors.
To develop, implement and manage inventories and vendors of the Museum F&B endeavours.
- Enforce and adhere to Museum’s SOPs and best practise & procedures
- Produce detailed schedules which include staffing assignments and milestones for revenue generating initiatives
- Support the working relationship with facility management and other events and operational departments by maintaining a master museum calendar
- Oversee the day to day operational readiness of FOH and closing duties
- Work collaboratively on developing and implementing merchandise and F&B selections for the Museum
- Manage vendors and end-to-end process for any procurement and production of merchandise, as well as logistical & storage arrangements and any necessary disposals
- Manage the presentation, upkeeping and maintenance of retail and F&B spaces
- Planning and allocation of inventory, churning of sales reports and providing analysis and evaluation on sales numbers
- Research current trends on merchandise and F&B for the Museum with a focus on sustainable options
- Support the working relationship with external stakeholders, partners and vendors
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirement
- At least 2 years of direct experience working in attractions/events Operations, with some secondary experience in retail & merchandising or F&B. Candidate with more years of relevant experience will be considered for senior position.
- Diploma/Degree in Tourism, Events Management, Business, Design or equivalent
- An interest and passion for Singapore history, museums and the local art scene
- Self-directed learner and problem solver who can perform under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Some proficiency with Adobe Photoshop/Dreamweaver or other editing softwares, and visual merchandising knowledge will be an advantage
- Good time management skills
- Cultural understanding and empathy for diverse communities
- Availability to work on evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Team player
- Certifications in First Aid/Bizsafe will be an advantage
- Service oriented and enjoy interacting with people
- Shortlisted candidate must be comfortable to work at the Air Force Museum located at Paya Lebar
