SUN-DAC is a non-profit social service agency affiliated with the National Council of Social Service. It serves and cares for persons with disabilities in 3 Day activities centres (Upper Thomson, Choa Chua Kang & Bedok South). Most of our clients are persons with moderate to severe disabilities.
SUN-DAC mission is to help people with disabilities to live each day positively with tailored programmes of constructive activities. It also provides respite for parents and caregivers of people with disability through support and assistance services.
The Training Officer will be responsible for the daily training provided for SUN-DAC’s clients.
Core Responsibilities:
- To use evidence based methods to train and assist adults with disabilities in ADLs (activities of daily living), CLSs (community living skills and pre-vocational skills.
- Attend to the personal needs of these adults and ensure their safety and well-being.
- Complete and submit required documentation in a timely manner.
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide an individual care plan for each client.
- Assists Senior Training Officer to provide guidance and support to Training Officers.
Requirement:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, volunteers, and the public. Must be self-directed and work independently.
