Responsibilities:
- Participate directly in site emergency response team.
- Troubleshoot and repair a variety of complex liquid and powder processing, blending and high-speed packaging equipment.
- operate mills, lathes, grinders and other types of similar equipment.
- weld stainless steel to hygienic and sanitary standards.
- repair and install various equipment, guards and piping using lifting devices if required.
- performing PM’s and work orders as well as project work
- Disassembly, diagnosis, repairs and re-assembly of machinery to hygienic and sanitary standards.
- Participate in the development of a Predictive Maintenance program.
- Complete all necessary reports and documentation via hardcopy and computer.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in accordance to all safety and GMP policies.
- Interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
- Follow all cGMP requirements to ensure proper manufacturing environment.
- Actively participate in the resolution and elimination of downtime issues.
- Assist in the creation of SOP’s, checklist, and work instructions.
- Provide training and guidance to new employees.
- Complete all necessary transactions, reports and documentation with accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment to 5S or similar standard.
Requirements:
- Trade Certificate or Diploma or Degree in related field of study.
- Boiler Operator’s License preferred, but not essential
- First Aid Certification is mandatory and will be provided if required.
- At least 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience.
- Previous experience in a food or pharma manufacturing environment is preferred with experience and knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance technologies.
