Business Development Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all business development activities. Play a strategic role in developing and diversifying business and revenue streams in the Asia Pacific region
  • Collaborate with the business development team in the group companies/branch offices to develop " Business development infrastructure to enhance the business development platform
  • Develop and implement marketing and growth strategies and plans in the region
  • Increase clientele base by proactively sourcing arranging meetings and developing new relationships
  • Manage and build positive relationships with existing clients
  • Perform market research and analysis such as evaluating the company and its business strengths and customers' needs, researching business opportunities and viable revenue streams, and reporting on successes and areas requiring improvements
  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
  • Maintain and share professional knowledge by attending industry events, and conferences, establishing personal networks, and participating in presentations
  • Develop and deliver insightful strategies and impactful presentations to the business development department and external stakeholders
  • Procedure reports to provide updates and progress on new business development activities and other key indicators to the management
  • Collaborate with the tender team to manage the proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and input from various sources
  • Collaborate with Building Planning and Administrative unit, Technology Unit, and design unit members on regular and ad-hock assignments and activities
  • Ensure all practices and business dealings are carried out professionally and ethically to maintain the company's reputation as a high-quality solutions provider
  • Train subordinates and team members

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing or a related discipline
  • At least 8 years of experience in the Construction Industry is a MUST. Those with fewer years will be considered for senior executive-level
  • Proven track record in the design and implementation of business development strategies
  • Able to travel as needed
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes and value propositions
  • Good Negotiation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills to work with people of all levels
  • Organise, goal-oriented, and with strong business acumen
