A top and global freight forwarding MNC is looking for a Projects Operations Manager in Singapore (Operations Excellence). The incumbent will be working on continuous improvement program to increase profitability for the business.
Responsibilities:
- 50% customer management + 50% Operations Management
- Responsible for all customer enquiries and prepare proposal/quotations for prospects
- Co-ordinate and assists customers in preparing documents for shipment
- Develop operational customer relationship and provide timely communication regarding business needs (e.g. price plans, introduction, MBR/QBR, RFQ etc.)
- Identify gaps to improve service quality and efficiency level
- Responsible for ensuring Group’s shipments are handled correctly for multimodal, trans-shipments (multi-leg), cross-trade, HL, barge, project management, OOG Ocean Freight (OF), dangerous goods shipments and work in with the BU where applicable, for general air and ocean freight.
Manage subcontractors and attend to port operators for charter - Continuous profitability optimization through process improvement and reengineering
- Execution of operational activities such as receiving of cargoes, document processing, warehouse, order management etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in any relevant discipline
- 5+ years of project or customer facing experience in Oil & Gas or Sea & Air Freight Forwarding.
- Experienced dealing with dangerous goods cargoes
- Minimum 3 years of experience in customer service or operations account management
- Familiar with Oil and Gas Project Operations including for Air and Ocean freight is essential.
- Familiar with Breakbulk, DG, and OOG
