Regional Head of Data Center (Operations)

Must Have Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Supervise all facets of the critical physical infrastructure within the data center, ensuring consistent high availability and performance standards. Maintain service quality while upholding service level agreements without causing disruptions to internal or external customers.
• Collaborate closely with the leadership team to standardize operations site-wide and implement programs aimed at optimizing Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE).
• Lead teams of engineers and technicians operating around the clock, overseeing both routine maintenance and emergency services for critical systems like switchgear, generators, and cooling equipment.
• Take charge of improvement initiatives, coordinating with internal and external support teams from inception to completion.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for facility-related issues and emergencies, including responding to incidents outside regular business hours.
• Manage overall site capacity and contribute to the design of new facilities and infrastructure.
• Drive incident management efforts, including coordinating on-site activities during incidents impacting customers, conducting thorough root cause analyses, and guiding incident resolution efforts.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols during all work activities.

Requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related field.
• Possess a minimum of 10 years of direct management experience within one or more data centers.
• Demonstrate an engineering background with expertise (MEP) systems.
• Have experience managing the entire lifecycle of data center assets, including refurbishments or replacements within live environments.
• Exhibit an executive-level mindset and strong emotional intelligence to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, ranging from data center technicians to C-level executives.
• Embrace a growth mindset and prioritize innovation to remain competitive in the industry.
• Display enthusiasm, energy, and positivity to recruit, motivate, and lead high-performing teams.
• Proficient in both English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking personnel.
• Exposure to Automation/IoT deployment or experience in Smart Data Center integration is a valuable asset.
