You will be a valued member of our Finance team, responsible for the routine financial operations of the business. In this role, you will be focused mainly on the AP function, performing the day-to-day Account Payable operations including month end closing, audit and reporting.
Our Finance team is responsible for overseeing all accounting & finance operations, ensuring the smooth running of all of Secretlab’s initiatives; including collaborative efforts with world-renowned brands such as Game of Thrones, Batman, Cloud9, Team Secret, as well as international esports organisers such as Riot Games for their League of Legends global tournaments.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the full spectrum of the Account Payable functions, including month end closing, audit and reporting
- Own AP reporting and oversee the month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate payable balances and ledger postings
- Review reconciliations (e.g. balance sheet schedules and intercompany transactions) and resolve any escalated discrepancies
- Review and maintain updated vendors’ and supplies’ records, ensuring proper authorisation and documentations of all transactions
- Manage vendors' and suppliers' relationships, ensuring internal control compliance and timely payments
- Navigate bank account opening matters and requirements
- Be the key point of contact to internal and external stakeholders for resolution on any Account Payable matters
- Proactively review existing Accounts Payable processes and lead continuous improvement projects to drive optimal operational performance
- Handle audit-related matters and other ad hoc responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Accounting & Finance or any other relevant course of study
- Minimum 4 to 6 years’ relevant experience
- Prior experience in Accounts Payable with regional or global exposure, preferably with a direct-to-consumer/ e-commerce model
- Tech-savvy with working experience utilizing accounting & ERP software (preferably NetSuite)
- Hands-on team player, you should enjoy rolling up your sleeves and actively participating in day-to-day accounting with your team members
- Keen eye for detail with an intellectual curiosity to investigate and make sense of data
- Strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to navigate internal/ external stakeholder engagements.
