Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing all aspects of a company's financial accounting.
- Manage all accounting functions: General Ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, banking, tax, credit & collections.
- Ensure strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Oversee monthly/yearly closing, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
- Prepare accurate financial reports for management and corporate needs.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend profit improvements.
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Optimize working capital through credit risk management, payment terms, and inventory control.
- Oversee treasury controls, cash flow, and foreign exchange hedging.
- Manage tax filings (GST, WHT) and work with tax service providers.
- Support holding companies, subsidiaries, and head office costs.
- Supervise a payables officer and work with other accounting staff.
- Collaborate with various teams across the organization.
- Perform additional duties like corporate secretarial tasks and government reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA accredited preferred).
- Minimum 4 years of experience, ideally in manufacturing.
- Experience with external audits and strong understanding of internal controls.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Meticulous, independent, and organized with strong analytical abilities.
- Teamwork skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Excel, Office Suite, and experience with ERP systems.
