Role - Senior Business Development Manager

  • As a Senior Business Development Manager - Cross Border Payments, you will have the exciting opportunity to explore and forge new partnerships in your territory. You will be the sole contributor, driven by targets and a strong desire to deliver exceptional results. Your responsibilities will include prospecting, executing, and launching partners, ensuring their success and growth.
  • You will be entrusted with creating and implementing a comprehensive sales and business development plan for TerraPay in your specific locations. Taking charge of the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to managing active accounts, you will work closely with C-suite executives to successfully close deals.
  • Developing and managing strategic partnerships with banks, fintech companies, money remittance firms, and other pertinent financial institutions will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will support customer requests and continually identify new opportunities to enhance TerraPay's offerings.
  • To excel in this position, strong communication and coordination skills are essential. You will need to navigate the market landscape, taking into account regulatory and competitive factors, to successfully introduce new services.
  • In your pursuit of success, you will attend tradeshows, generate leads, follow designated sales processes, and communicate progress to your regional director. Precise reporting, including the effective utilization of the CRM tool, will be expected within the specified timeframes.
  • Your feedback will be invaluable; you will regularly provide insights to your line manager regarding pipeline, performance, sales activity, account management, market trends, challenges, opportunities, and strategies. Ensuring partner satisfaction, maintaining contractual health, and fostering strong communication between partners and back-office services will be crucial.
  • As a bonus, you will take ownership and responsibility for the profit and loss (P&L) performance in your region.

Qualifications

We're looking for individuals who possess the skills and experience to excel in this role. You should have a strong background in the required field and be passionate about what you do.   • Bachelor’s Degree (MBA preferred).
  • Must have extensive knowledge of the Payments industry within the region.
  • At least 10 years of direct B2B work experience in Banks, Payments, Fintech, or Financial Services companies, in business development or partnership roles.
  • An accomplished professional with a track record of delivering results, and excellent skills in communication, organization, and negotiation.
  • Exceptional networking skills with a solid portfolio of connections to banking-Fintech professionals.
  • Proficiency in CRM is a requirement.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • A collaborative team player, open to and able to drive change, and adaptable to different situations.
  • A strong understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and industry requirements.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships with partners, third parties, and internal colleagues.
  • A proactive individual who takes ownership and accountability for their work.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • An analytical thinker and problem solver.
  • Fluent in English.
  • A cross-cultural individual who enjoys working with a multicultural team.
