Catering Sales Manager

  • Manage events functions to achieve the optimum departmental revenue targets
  • Follow up on potential sales leads, proactively drive revenue to achieve budget given, and secure business for events spaces and rooms for residential and non-residential events.
  • Design and plan packages to maximize the conversions and profitability for the hotel.
  • Conduct site inspection, sales calls, telemarketing and other sales-related duties.
  • Negotiate and review events packages offered to clients.
  • Prepare contracts for confirmed events
  • Be updated with current market trends and competitive packages in the market.
  • Collaborating with F&B to create customized menus and pricing for packages.
  • To work with vendors and partners to curate packages to enhance selling of our event spaces.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications with other departments.
  • Establish strong working relationships with client and maintain accurate and updated information about their needs for their function.
  • Welcome key customers, team leaders and VIPs to the hotel when they arrive.
  • Handle feedback and resolve complaints from guests
  • Maintain client files and update information daily in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and handle inquiry calls and provide client proposals in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with F&B operations team for the management and execution of actual day event, ensuring outsourced suppliers adhere to policies & procedures of the property.
  • Prepare event orders, proposals, confirmation and other agreements
  • Processing invoices & managing suppliers and payables
  • Understand and be familiar with all product information of competitors, including key customers and their output, hotel rooms, catering, conference-related promotion information, and promptly feedback the information to the Executive Assistant Manager, Sales.
  • Ensure effective communication between the Sales team and the hotel Operations team through regular meetings and assist the Sales or Operations department to follow-up on events occurring during the event or meeting.
  • Require to work on weekends or Public Holidays should there be confirmed events in the hotel. The role will require to meet and greet guests and to ensure proper handover of events logistics to the F&B team for execution.
  • Provide support to Executive AssistantManager - Sales and entire staff by participating in meetings, provide updates on potential business, assist with client service issues, conducting property tours, events etc.
  • Manage special projects under the direction of Executive Assistant Manager – Sales
