With offices in Singapore, Australia, Japan, and South Korea, Equis is focused on developing, constructing, and operating primary and hybrid renewable energy and biomass generation, battery energy storage systems and waste infrastructure assets in Australia, Japan, and South Korea.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a finance intern with an interest in financial analysis and reporting, to provide insights to support decision making. It would be advantageous if the candidate has experience in data management and data visualisation tools.
This role will support the finance team with carrying out financial analysis, process improvement initiatives and developing data visualisation tools. This role will work closely with the global finance team to identify opportunities to streamline data management processes, enhance data quality and improve overall efficiency within the finance team.
The candidate will be exposed to a wide variety of infrastructure projects, including renewable energy, battery energy storage systems, waste to energy and biomass. Located in Singapore corporate office, the role will work closely with management including the Group CFO and Group Financial Controller.
THE ROLE
Assist the finance team with the following:
- Build and optimising financial processes, related systems, and financial models to improve efficiency.
- Drive process improvement initiatives, including developing visualisation tools, dashboards, and templates to facilitate analysis across the group.
- Assist the team in building presentations for senior management and investors.
- Review valuations and financial models of projects.
- Liaise and work with other Equis offices in Korea, Japan, Australia and offshore accounting team to compile information and data.
- Other ad hoc project work and support to be provided to the overall team.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Currently in a post graduate programme with background in finance/accounting.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially advanced Excel
- Proficient in creating compelling visual representation of complex data sets using tools like Power BI is a plus.
- Have an understanding of data management and governance, experience in using SQL is a plus.
- Curious and analytical with good numerical skills.
- Strong work ethic and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Expected to be organized and work with little supervision.
- Keen attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
