In this position as an Underwriting Manager for the Motor department, you will be reporting to the HOD and responsible for driving the company’s motor insurance strategy which include retail, motor and fleet business. You will adhere to the motor underwriting guidelines and risk assessment protocols to deliver sound underwriting practices, monitor and manage the motor portfolio to maintain an appropriate risk profile and profitability.
Your day to day duties will also include underwriting of new business and renewal business to ensure efficiency, quality customer and distributor service and compliance with regulatory requirements and work closely with internal stakeholders such as the pricing team, sales team and claims department.
** Individual contributor but work alongside with a small team
** Based in Singapore, office is located at CBD - walking distance from MRT
** Underwrite full suite of risk including Fleet, Private, Commercial and High performance car
** Offers hybrid work arrangement - 2 days WFH a week

Skills & experience required
- 7+ years of experience underwriting commercial and private motor Insurance
- In-depth knowledge of the Singapore insurance market and regulatory requirements
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
