Senior Executive/Assistant Manager/Senior Assistant Manager, MSc Programmes

School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences seek to hire the position of Senior Executive/Assistant Manager/ Senior Assistant Manager for Research and Graduate Studies Office.

The position will assist the school management primarily in the administration of research and graduate studies.

Key Responsibilities:

MOU and Joint/Dual Degree Agreement

  • In charge of the drafting of new agreements, liaising with partner universities, attending meetings with partner universities for submission to Chair, Dean, Graduate College ExCo, Provost Council and MOE.
  • Monitoring students admitted to the joint/dual degree programmes.
  • Compile annual reports for reporting to the University.

Examination Planning and Conduct

  • In charge of exam planning for every semester’s final exams.
  • Take lead in conduct of decentralized exams.
  • Arrangement of Division and School BOE.
  • Analyse exam results of postgraduate students and identify at-risk students to report to the school management.

Admission

  • Process admission applications.
  • Ensure that students meet the admission requirement.
  • Liaise with Program Directors to admit students.

Course Registration

  • Process the course registration and maintenance of courses.
  • Support the administration for the approval of new courses as set by the school.

Practicum/ Internship/ Research Lab

  • Collaborate with faculty and industry partners to offer internship for our students.
  • Preparation of experiment listing and descriptions for students viewing and their selection.
  • Planning of presentation schedule

Compilation of Statistical Data

  • Generate data as requested by the School/College/University/MOE.
  • Provide analysis and projections for School/College/University/MOE.
  • Any other administrative tasks given by the University/School.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or higher degree, in any discipline
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in tertiary education
  • IT knowledge, proficient in MS office application
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and to work in an academic environment
  • Demonstrated ability in analytical, planning and organizational abilities
  • Meticulous
  • Able to work independently and as a team
